☕️ You're not failing

Helping Women Delight in God’s Word

👋 Hey Reader,

Last week, someone asked how I was doing, and after they heard my answer, looked at me and said:

“You’re in survival mode.”

The truth is, the past month has been busier than I’ve let myself realize. 😣

It’s been day after day of nonstop commitments and to-dos, with very little time to stop and rest.

And even though I’ve been so busy and overwhelmed, I’ve still had this nagging feeling that I’m not doing enough.

And in my anxiety, I’ve wondered…does God feel that way about me, too? 💔

Friend, if you’re in the same boat, I need you to hear this:
the answer is a resounding NO!

By the grace of God, we are:

💗 Loved (Romans 5:8)
🫂 Accepted (Romans 15:7)
❤️‍🩹 Forgiven (Ephesians 1:7)
👨‍👧 Chosen (Ephesians 1:4-5)

Your relationship with God is deeper than a daily assessment of how well you performed.

You are His child. And He loves you so much that He died for you!

If any of this resonates with you, I hope you’ll take a minute to read this blog post I wrote:

👉 Identity in Christ: What God Says When You Feel Like You’re Not Enough

And today, I hope you'll remember that God Himself has given you grace. Don't be afraid to give yourself some, too.

You might like this, too

Maybe you're tired of feeling like you have to do more, be more, and hold everything together.

Into the Deep will help you uncover the habits and fears keeping you stuck—and discover the deeper truth of who you already are in Christ.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:8 (NIV)

🎙 God Wants Your Heart (Not Your Performance)

"I was doing everything that I thought I should be doing. And they were good things, but I was stuck in thinking that the more I did, the more I might earn his affection.”

What if your relationship with God became less about trying hard, and more about receiving His love?

This week we're talking about moving from knowing about God to experiencing Him personally.

How We Learned to Talk About Money Without Fighting

It took my husband, Wayne, and me eighteen years to talk about money without arguing. Not because we didn’t want to, but because we just didn’t know how.

So for years, we butted heads. I was the saver, he was the spender, and we both assumed everything would work out. Spoiler alert: it didn’t.
