☕️ What God says about your body

Helping Women Delight in God’s Word

👋 Hey Reader,

I love summer…but the warm weather can bring out a LOT of insecurities.

Trying on bathing suits, realizing just how pale my legs are, fighting the urge to hide my arms…👙😬

Or some of us are living with a disability or chronic illness, and the heat and crowds are making it that much harder to get through the day. ☀️🥵

It can be easy to feel like our bodies just don’t measure up.

But here are a few things I think God might say to us when we’re struggling:

👨‍👧 I made you, and you look like me. (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 139:13-14)
💞 Other people might judge how you look. But I look deeper than that. (1 Sam 16:7; Prov 31:30)
😣 I know how it feels to have an imperfect body, too. (Isaiah 53:2; John 1:14, 4:6; Mark 15:15)
🙏 Your body is precious to me, and I love it when you use it to worship. (Rom 12:1; 1 Cor 6:19-20)

Friend, it’s easy to get discouraged when all we’re thinking about is how we look!

But when we start caring more about what God says? Things start to feel a little easier.

 😊

If you need to focus more on what God says than how you look, check out this free printable we made:

Uprooting Lies, Planting Truth

In this journal, you will learn how to deliberately fight the lies that are planted and rooted in your heart.

You will learn how to uproot these lies and how to plant seeds of truth instead.

It’s not enough to just know the truth, it’s time to start believing it!

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
1 Samuel 16:7 (NIV)

🎙 A Testimony to Encourage You

"[God] became my dad, my mother, my brother, my sister, my best friend. He became everything to me.”

In this powerful episode, Jim Pellitteri shares how God met him in the middle of suffering, transformed his story, and became the Father he always needed.

Check in next week for the answer! Or (if you can't wait) read Genesis 17:17
