Helping Women Delight in God’s Word

👋 Hey Reader,

Does anyone else get SO nostalgic around back-to-school season?! 🎒

I feel like when I close my eyes, I can transport myself back to picking out backpacks and pencil cases with my mom. 😊

But probably someone reading this doesn’t need to feel nostalgic…because you’re right there in it.

(And if you were hoping this email would be an escape from ‘back-to-school’ thoughts…I’m so sorry 😆).

Whether you’re:
🤓 getting geared up for your own classes
🚍 wrangling kids to the school bus at ungodly hours
🍂 just navigating your own rhythms and changes

I want you to remember what it felt like to be a kid.

The nervousness. Your desperate need to be accepted (and somehow stand out at the same time?) All that stress over grades and performance…

It’s not so different from life today, huh?

Friend, however you’re doing today, I want to invite you to talk to God about it like you’re a little kid: driving in the backseat, chatting with your dad. 🚙

😠 Maybe that means sitting in grumpy silence, then getting coaxed into telling Him about a situation that brings you to tears.

🫶 Or maybe you’ll be a chatterbox, sharing everything you’re up to, and He’ll be listening with a smile on His face.

Whatever the case, and whatever your mood: He’s the one in the driver’s seat.

He loves His kids a lot. He’s keeping us safe. And He’s getting us to where we need to go next.

Wishing you a happy start to the school year! (Or just a happy Thursday, if school isn't your life right now 😉)

All our love,

Ashley, Taylor and Mentor Mama (Ellen)

Fear was never meant to define our relationship with God—yet many Christians live as though it does.

In Accidental Pagans, pastor Ryan Lokkesmoe reveals how modern believers often approach God the same way ancient pagans viewed their gods: distant, unpredictable, and needing to be appeased.

Through biblical insight and compelling parallels to pagan mythology, Lokkesmoe uncovers how fear-driven faith shapes our prayers, theology, and daily lives. He contrasts unhealthy fear with a true fear of the Lord and points readers back to the loving character of God revealed in Scripture and through Christ.

Complete with practical application and a five-session Bible study video curriculum, Accidental Pagans invites readers to exchange fear for freedom and rediscover who God really is.
