Helping Women Delight in God’s Word

👋 Hey Reader,

First things first…anyone else get a long weekend for the fourth?! Nothing makes me feel more patriotic than having a Friday off 🤣🇺🇸🫡

Long weekend or not, lately I’ve been noticing how quick I am to fill my free time with worry and work. 😣

Even when I have a free hour for anything I want to do…my mind immediately jumps to that dang to-do list.

It feels like peace is just one more check mark away. ✅

If that feels relatable, I need you to hold my hand while I tell you this.

The Bible might call that constant pursuit of MORE…discontent. (1 Timothy 6:6-9)

Yes, my inbox has [redacted number] unread emails I need to respond to.

I should really unpack that bag.

I need to call back that person about that thing.

But right now…why not take a quick break from all those cares and worries?

Take a deep breath with me. 😮‍💨

Now, think of one or two things you’re really, really grateful for today. Be as specific as possible.

Today, I’m thankful for:

☕️ the truly superb cup of coffee I had with breakfast
🌅 cool morning walks, when the world is still quiet

Don't be afraid to take a break from worry today. Make some space to thank God for what He's already given, and watch those cares slip away.

Hope you have an amazing (long) weekend!

You don't have to be an evangelist to make disciples.

Jesus focused on three essential elements that formed the foundation of disciple-making: Time, Teaching, and Tactics. Discipology unpacks each, offering a practical framework that takes the mystery out of discipleship. It's time to return to the way of Jesus–and lead the next generation into it.

Last week's question: Which fruit was never mentioned in the Bible?
Correct answer:
apples
