I was reading 1 Thessalonians last week, and this verse caught my eye:

Notice these three things...🔎
​
👩‍🌾 Faithful work,
💖 Loving deeds,
📖 Enduring hope.

The Thessalonians weren't popular in their community because they had turned away from idol-worship to serve God...
​
But their hope wasn’t in any change to their situation.
​
​It was in Jesus’ resurrection and return.

Friend, I know it’s easy to get discouraged these days—whether it’s because of circumstances in our own lives, or world events outside of our control. ❤️‍🩹

But let's be like the Thessalonians.

🪴 Let’s work faithfully at what God has called us to.

🫂 Let’s love the people around us, even when we disagree or don’t get along.

❤️ And let’s keep our hope fixed on Jesus: who faced down death to give us life, and is coming again soon. 🕊
